The Ken Kirkham Scholarship Award was created in honor of Dr. Kenneth Kirkham, founder of Global Hands of Healing, whose lifelong dedication to serving others continues to inspire volunteers to share healthcare beyond borders. This scholarship recognizes individuals who demonstrate compassion, leadership, and a commitment to global service.

Each year, one recipient will be awarded $1,800 to be used toward:

• Participation in a Global Hands of Healing mission trip, or

• Tuition, books, or educational expenses related to healthcare or community service.

🗓️ Application Deadline

All applications must be submitted by December 31, 2025.
The scholarship recipient will be announced at the Taste of Hope Fundraiser in April 2026.

✅ Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

1. Be 18 years or older.

2. Demonstrate a strong interest in healthcare, humanitarian service, or mission work.

3. Submit a personal statement (500–750 words) describing:

   • Why you’re passionate about serving others.

   • How you embody the values of compassion, integrity, and global impact.

   • How this scholarship will help you continue that mission.

4. Provide one letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, or community leader.

5. Upload or email all required documents, including:

   • Your letter of recommendation

   • A copy of your driver’s license (email to info@globalhandsofhealing.org)

6. Submit all required materials before the deadline.
