Clear vision is a small luxury for all of those who are served by Global Hands of Healing.  We own a portable visual acuity device known as a refractometer. With this device, we are able to determine the prescription needed for distance glasses! Additionally, we bring the frames and lenses with us; building the glasses on site.   

Reading glasses alone allow nearly everyone who needs them the opportunity to see clearly for the first time in years. We also distribute sunglasses to help protect from the higher levels of UV radiation exposure, which is typical in countries with close proximity to the equator.
