Taste of Hope
Each year, Global Hands of Healing sends one or more teams of medical, dental, vision and other volunteers to Central America to provide healthcare services to those in small, remote villages who would otherwise go without care. In 2020, only one trip to Panama was completed prior to the coronavirus outbreak. There are currently two trips scheduled, and planning is underway for Costa Rica in late July and Guatemala in September pending health and safety restrictions.
None of this is possible without our generous donors & annual fundraiser – the Taste of Hope.
Each volunteer typically pays $800 to participate on a trip in order to defray a portion of the overall cost. Taste of Hope is our largest source of fundraising each year and the proceeds are used to fund medicines, eye glasses, interpreters and travel expenses just to name a few.
A big thank you for a successful Taste of Hope "Lite" at Los Vaqueros Restaurant. It was great to reconnect and be together!
We had another great time and successful event this year at the Los Vaqueros Restaurant. We are so grateful for all of our supporters who attended, contributed items, purchased from our silent auction and the volunteers who give generously of their time. We could not do it without each and everyone of you.
